The VCC Foundation, established in 1983, is a registered non-profit organization overseen by a volunteer board of directors operating under the following mission statement.

The mission of the Vancouver Community College Foundation is to stimulate financial support for the students and programs at Vancouver Community College, ensure the prudent management of funds received and to encourage the community’s goodwill toward the College.

An investment in the education of a VCC student will help ensure a better future for British Columbia and Canada. A gift to the VCC Foundation will show our students that the community is supportive of their efforts to gain knowledge and skills they will need to find their place in the workforce.

The foundation works closely with all donors to ensure their charitable goals are met. A tax receipt for the full amount of the donation is provided. Whether you choose to support a specific area of interest or to direct your contribution to the area of greatest need, VCC students will appreciate your gift for years to come.

You may wish to create an endowed fund to honour or memorialize an individual or company or you may choose to make a gift to any of the existing endowment funds. All gifts to endowed funds are held in perpetuity and the interest income is distributed according to the criteria established by the creator of the fund. There are a number of these funds specifically designated for music students, including the Dave Robbins Memorial Scholarship, Jack Cullen Music Award, AJ Bay Memorial Scholarship and the Ray Smith Scholarship, among many others.

Many individuals and organizations make or pledge a gift of cash to the VCC Foundation. Others choose to make a gift-in-kind, which could include items for instructional or administrative purposes.

You may also name the VCC Foundation as a beneficiary under the terms of your will, RRSP or other financial instrument.
